Abe Flores: An Impressive Journey to Success in the Cigar World
The name PDR is inseparably linked to Abraham "Abe" Flores. A New York native with Dominican roots, he found his way into the tobacco world through unconventional paths and is now highly regarded in the industry. His Tabacalera produces cigars for renowned brands such as La Palina, Kristoff, Flores y Rodriguez, and Gurkha.
A Label with Its Own Character
Cigars under the name Abe Flores were initially categorized under the PDR label. However, these creations deserve their own identity. While they are produced in the same Tabacalera, they embody a distinct philosophy. That is why we have dedicated a separate platform in our shop to the cigar lines of A. Flores.
The Exclusive Portfolio of A. Flores
Among connoisseurs, the El Criollito line is particularly popular. The eponymous Criollo tobacco is featured both in the filler and as the wrapper leaf.

This rich and aromatic tobacco provides a smoking experience that stands out for its strength, exceeding the typical profile of Dominican cigars.
Gran Reserva Cigars: The Heart of A. Flores
The true flagship of the brand is the Gran Reserva line. The Gran Reserva Corojo in particular embodies the essence of the brand. With a Corojo wrapper and filler composed of various Corojo tobaccos, it impresses with intense aromas of cedar, coffee, and cocoa. The Gran Reserva Sun Grown offers a slightly more subdued flavor profile, thanks to its Dominican Sun Grown wrapper.
Milder notes of nuts and citrus characterize the Gran Reserva Desflorado, which features a Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador, complemented by two binders: an Ecuadorian Sun Grown and a Jalapa from Nicaragua. For a bolder taste, the Gran Reserva Maduro with its Mexican wrapper leaf is the perfect choice.

Also noteworthy is the El Trovador line, inspired by Verdi's famous opera, as well as the mild and exclusive AFR 75, created specifically for the German importer Kopp Tobaccos.
