The brand was introduced at the renowned IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas. The name refers to the Nueva Segovia region in Nicaragua, one of the country's most famous tobacco-growing areas. The slogan "El Diamante de las Segovias" emphasizes the exceptional quality of the cigars, which are traditionally handcrafted.
At InterTabac 2019, Antigua Estelí presented two impressive lines imported by Woermann Cigars: Oscuro and Maduro. The Oscuro line (Robusto, Torpedo) features a premium Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper, while the Maduro line (Toro, Robusto) uses a high-quality Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Antigua Estelí: Tradition Revived
The name "Antigua" means "antique" in Spanish and refers to the rich tradition of cigar making.
