The family-owned business from Tamboril, a town near Santiago de los Caballeros – known as the world capital of cigars – stands for artisanal perfection and innovative spirit. Founded over 60 years ago, the company is now led by Radhames “Ram” Rodriguez, the founder's grandson. Inspired by the idea that everyone who makes cigars is an artist, Ram renamed the factory to Artista Cigars. With over 500 hectares of its own tobacco plantations, innovative hybrid strains, and an experimental approach, Artista is one of the pioneering manufacturers in the Cibao Valley.

Artista Cigars stands for fine cigars from Tamboril in the Dominican Republic. Since 1956, the company has combined craftsmanship with innovative ideas, evolving into a leading producer.

Artista Cigars: Big Papi and Exactus
With Big Papi by David Ortiz, Artista Cigars created an extraordinary cigar. The renowned baseball player David Ortiz, himself of Dominican descent, collaborated with Artista on a vitola that was awarded 93 points in Cigar Journal. This creation is especially popular in the USA.
The Exactus Cigars, first introduced at Intertabac in 2017, have also gained a loyal following. From the mild Connecticut series to the strong Maduro series and the innovative Puro Ambar Legacy, the variety of their offerings is evident. The latter impresses with a unique wrapper fermented with wine, which releases fruity aromas.
