Becker – Pipes and Freehands

Becker Pipes: The Beginnings with Fritz Becker

Fritz Becker laid the foundation for the family business with his passion for crafting high-quality pipes. As a Jewish refugee fleeing persecution, he escaped the Nazis in the 1930s and found refuge in the Balkans, where he worked for British intelligence during World War II. After the war, he settled in Rome and served as a representative of the World Jewish Congress at the Vatican. Dissatisfied with the quality of mass-produced series pipes, he began crafting his own pipes. Thanks to their precision and quality, the freehands quickly became a signature product.

Paolo Becker: Innovation Meets Tradition

Paolo Becker, Fritz Becker's son, brought new life to the business by introducing creative designs and innovative techniques. His talent as a designer and craftsman expanded the range of Becker pipes. At the same time, he was a skilled networker who succeeded in making the Becker brand known worldwide. With a special focus on functionality and aesthetic perfection, he set new standards before passing away in 2014.

Federico Becker: Modern Touches and Craftsmanship Tradition

Federico Becker, the son of Paolo and grandson of Fritz, continues the family legacy into the third generation. With a keen eye for contemporary designs and the preferences of modern pipe enthusiasts, he blends traditional craftsmanship with new materials and innovative techniques. He remains true to the elegant forms and clean lines that his father perfected.

Unique Becker Freehand Pipes of the Highest Quality.
Beloved by collectors: Becker Freehands.

Federico remains committed to using Calabrian briar wood of "Extra-Extra" quality, whose exquisite grain serves as the perfect foundation for premium pipes. He also preserves the grading system developed by his grandfather, which uses the symbolism of playing cards to classify quality.

Becker Freehands – Generational Craftsmanship

Over the decades, the Becker family has mastered the art of combining tradition with innovation in pipe making. The pipes from Fritz, Paolo, and Federico Becker represent timeless elegance, top-notch quality, and craftsmanship that has been refined through each generation.
