Buena Vista Cigars: A Fusion of Brazil and the Dominican Republic
The traditional company Arnold André from Bünde produces its own brand, Buena Vista, in its in-house Tabacalera in the Dominican Republic. The experienced blenders of the company impress with their innovative potential.
The name Araperique might sound familiar. In fact, it is a portmanteau of Arapiraca and Perique – Brazilian tobacco meets the distinctive spiciness that characterizes many pipe tobaccos.

But what does this mean exactly? Does pipe tobacco play a role in the cigar? Not quite. The Arapiraca tobacco undergoes a unique treatment similar to that of Perique tobacco. After being moistened, it is fermented under high pressure in former whiskey barrels. This process can take more than a year until the tobacco reaches its characteristic maturity. Araperique stands out with its bold, aromatic filler tobacco with a touch of fruitiness.
Cigars with Distinctive Character: Dark Fired Kentucky and Araperique
The Dark Fired Kentucky series impresses with tobacco cured over hickory and oak wood. This traditional method gives the series its distinctly smoky note. The five formats in this line captivate with intense roasted aromas. If you can’t decide between Dark Fired Kentucky and Araperique, consider a Sampler that includes one Toro from each series.

Both series, Araperique and Dark Fired Kentucky, are also available as Shortfillers. These smaller formats are perfect for an enjoyable break in between.
