Caoba Cigars: From Insider Tip to International Delight
Santo Domingo, the vibrant capital of the Dominican Republic, offers much more than the perks of being a popular travel destination. As the oldest city in the Americas founded by Europeans – established by Bartolomeo Columbus, the brother of Christopher Columbus – it is a true cultural treasure. The historic old town, with its impressive colonial architecture, is rightly recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Story of Caoba
Amid this unique setting lies the Tabacalera of Caoba. Originally, the brand was a local insider tip, with its cigars being sold almost exclusively to locals and tourists visiting the Dominican Republic.

One of the first international advocates of the brand was American Adam Zuber. Enthralled by the exceptional quality, he presented the brand at the IPCPR fair in 2019. Since 2021, cigar enthusiasts in Germany have also been able to enjoy the exquisite Caoba cigars.
Two Lines, One Passion: Caoba Cigars
The current Caoba portfolio includes two lines. The classic series features carefully selected Dominican tobacco, refined with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper.

The second line, Diamante, also utilizes this premium wrapper but is distinguished by a more intense flavor – as the name suggests.
