Dona Flor Cigars: Masterful Craftsmanship and Premium Tobacco Quality
Behind this renowned brand stand two true connoisseurs of the cigar craft: Arturo Turaño and Felix Menendez. As experienced master blenders and experts in their field, they shape the Dona Flor cigars. These originate from the region around All Saints Bay in the Brazilian state of Bahia – one of the most significant tobacco-growing areas. With regular rainfall, nutrient-rich soil, and an average temperature of 25°C, this region provides ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality tobacco varieties.
The Full Dona Flor Range at a Glance
The excellence of Dona Flor is particularly evident in the Mata Fina Series. Its wrapper is made from the renowned Mata Fina – one of the most noble and prized tobaccos in the world. Complemented by a finely balanced Mata Norte, these Brazilian cigars captivate with earthy aromas and subtle notes of forest floor, hay, and moss.
In the past, Dona Flor offered additional series, though these are no longer available. One of the most complex in flavor was the exclusive version with a Connecticut wrapper. These cigars stood out for their bold, woody character with delicate hints of nut and leather.

For those who prefer a shorter smoking experience, Dona Flor also offered cigarillos – perfect for a quick break or for newcomers looking to explore the world of exquisite cigars.
