Christian Eiroa and his father Julio used their deep understanding of tobacco to elevate the Camacho brand from obscurity to newfound fame. What may sound modest was, in reality, a major success—Camacho became a global success story.

Christian Eiroa – A Passion for Cigars

Rather than resting on his laurels, Christian Eiroa continues to pursue his true calling: crafting premium cigars. After a period with Davidoff and a brief hiatus, he returned with renewed energy—first with his label CLE, and later under his own family name. For the Eiroa family, tobacco is a tradition: They cultivate their own tobacco and produce cigars in their in-house factory, El Aladino, in Honduras.

Their success did not go unnoticed—even beyond aficionados. In 2008, the brand was acquired by Oettinger Davidoff, a deal that reportedly brought the Eiroa family a substantial sum. Since then, Christian Eiroa has focused on new projects, yet his passion for fine tobacco products remains unwavering.

Eiroa Cigars – Masterful Craftsmanship

In the mid-2010s, the medium-bodied, aromatic Eiroa Classic made a bold statement. With the CBT Maduro, Eiroa ventured into an extraordinary composition: All three components—filler, binder, and wrapper—are made entirely of Maduro tobacco. This rare and intricate technique was something he had already perfected years earlier.

With the creation of The First 20 Years, it was not Christian but his father Julio who revived a wrapper leaf that had been forgotten for over fifty years—yet another testament to the remarkable innovation of this tradition-steeped family.
