During this phase, Massimo Musico discovered his passion for intricate silver accents, which soon became a hallmark of the line. Success followed swiftly – especially in Japan and the United States, where the pipes grew increasingly popular.
In 2002, Paolo Becker stepped back to focus more intensely on his own label. After his passing in 2014, remaining Becker & Musico pipe stock continued to be sold at the Roman shop – a final tribute to a remarkable era.
The New Generation – Foundation by Musico
Massimo Musico carried on the brand with fresh energy under the name Foundation by Musico. Supported by seasoned Italian pipe makers – and later also joined by his son Giorgio – he created distinctive pipes without relying on aggressive marketing or intermediaries. This direct path to the customer, paired with uncompromising quality, earned the brand an outstanding reputation.
Today, Foundation pipes are seen as the epitome of classic aesthetics and superb craftsmanship. Their understated presence and exclusive availability make them a coveted item among connoisseurs who value substance over noise.
