Tabacalera Raíces was founded by Cuban exile Romay Endemaño and his wife Maria, and has long been a trusted partner of renowned premium manufacturers. Their son Hugo Endemaño now leads the traditional factory in Danlí—Honduras’s major tobacco hub in the south—together with Ralph Montero.

At Raíces, only handmade longfillers are produced—crafted by experienced torcedores who master their art with precision and devotion. Whole, carefully fermented tobacco leaves are used, with every step of selection and processing held to the highest standards. From multi-phase fermentation to final quality control, each stage is carried out with meticulous care. The result: cigars with perfect draw, even burn, and a notably firm ash—an indicator of top-tier craftsmanship. Production is intentionally kept in limited quantities to maintain control over every single leaf—true to the principle: quality over volume.
