Founded in 2004 in Estelí, the center of Nicaraguan cigar production, the factory is led by Ralf Westerwick – a German entrepreneur originally from Gummersbach. A business school graduate who passionately devoted himself to tobacco. His close connection to Zigarrenwelt, formed through a shared academic background with its current CEO, resulted in a strong partnership: Casa de Alegría produces the cigars, while Zigarrenwelt ensures economic stability through fixed purchase volumes.
